During my days of transitioning from chemically treated (relaxed) hair to natural hair “Cantu Beauty” was one of the first products I purchased. As a natural you will spend tons of money trying to figure out what products will work the best for your particular hair type. The moment I used Cantu Beauty my hair instantly came alive. The Shea Butter is an added essential to this product line. The conditioner is awesome as well. My wash day ritual consists of sectioning my hair into four parts washing & conditioning each section. Once this practice is done I add a plastic cap over my hair leaving the conditioner in for about 15 to 20 minutes. If I wanted to give my hair a deep condition protein treatment I like to use Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Deep Conditioning Protein Pack. Therefore instead of use Cantu’s conditioner I replace with the protein pack by Palmer’s allowing the treatment to sit in my hair for about 20 to 25 minutes.
The “Protective Style” for the Fall will be Box Braids. I’m having them installed this upcoming weekend. Pictures to follow. Furthermore before any installation of a “Protective Style” I always like to give my hair an extensive protein treatment (Palmer’s Coconut oil Formula Deep Conditioning Protein Pack) to ensure my hair is completely conditioned & moisturized.
My recommendation for newly naturals “Cantu Beauty/Shea Butter” is the product you should definitely try. Also for a great protein treatment Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Deep Conditioning Protein Pack is personal favorite. Both brands are very affordable and you can find the them anywhere. Here are a few store locations: Walmart, Walgreen, Sally’s Beauty Supply, Target as well as your local beauty supply store.
